Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) qualified for the 2016 Curl Mesabi Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-0 against Heath McCormick (Blaine, USA). of the 2016 Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States;

Koe finished 3-1 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Northern Ontario's Chris Glibota 5-3, then won 8-5 against Arizona's Mike Siggins. Koe went on to lose 6-5 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Koe responded with a 8-4 win over Andrew Stopera (New York, NY) in their final qualifying round match.
