Colonial Square Ladies Classic qualifying round, held September 16 - 19, 2016 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Canada. In their opening game, Campbell defeated Bingyu Wang (HARBIN, CHN) 5-4, then won 7-6 against Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB) and 7-0 against Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB). Campbell went on to lose 6-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Campbell lost 8-1 to Wang where Campbell responded with a 6-3 win over Einarson. Campbell went on to lose 8-4 against Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Campbell earned 5.222 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 90.958 total points. Campbell ranks 42nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.222 points earned so far this season.
