Cameron McNay (Dumfries, SCO) lost 8-3 to Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, held January 27 - 31, 2016 in Aberdeen, Scotland.
 
McNay finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McNay defeated Robin Brydone (Stirling, SCO) 13-4, then won 10-3 against Craig Joiner (Forfar, SCO). McNay went on to lose 9-3 against Mouat. McNay responded with a 8-2 win over Grant Barr (Perth, SCO). McNay won 8-7 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO). McNay went on to lose 7-4 against Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO). McNay responded with a 9-2 win over James Hay (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, McNay take home 8.621 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, McNay did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McNay ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
