Jia Liang Zang (Harbin, CHN) finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Zang defeated Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) 8-6, then won 25-0 against John Li (Hong Kong, HKG) and 6-5 against Ian Palangio (Sydney, AUS). Zang won 8-1 against Peter De Boer (Naseby, NZ). Zang went on to lose 8-6 against Soo-Hyuk Kim (Gangwon, KOR). Zang responded with a 7-2 win over Randie Shen (Taiwan, TPE). Zang won 13-3 against Viktor Kim (Almaty, KAZ) in their final qualifying round match.

Zang earned 11.507 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 27th place overall with 129.818 total points. Zang ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 95.179 points earned so far this season.
