In their opening game, Comeau lost 7-5 to Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK), droppimg another game, 7-2 to Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON) where Comeau responded with a 9-3 win over Greg Smith (St. John, NL). Comeau went on to lose 4-1 against Shawn Adams (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
