Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) qualified for the 2013 Cactus Pheasant Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-6 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). of the 2013 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta;

Laycock finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Laycock defeated Dean Joanisse (New Westminster, BC) 8-6, then won 4-2 against Korea's Soo-Hyuk Kim and 5-3 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Laycock earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Cactus Pheasant Classic, remaining in 14th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 125.426 total points. Laycock ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.095 points earned so far this season.
