David Sik (Praha, CZE) qualified for the 2012 Curling Masters Champery playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Switzerland's Bernhard Werthemann.

Sik finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sik defeated Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO) 6-0, then won 6-5 against Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). Sik went on to lose 7-5 against Gyeorgy Nagy (Budapest, HUN). Sik lost 5-4 to Peter de Cruz (Geneve, SUI) where Sik responded with a 5-4 win over Steffen R. Mellemseter (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Sik earned 4.050 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Curling Masters Champery, moving up 434 spots the World Ranking Standings into 178th place overall with 4.050 total points. Sik ranks 85th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.050 points earned so far this season.
