Spencer finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Spencer defeated Karen Rosser (Springfield, MB) 7-2, then won 9-5 against Saskatchewan's Candace Chisholm and 5-3 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the DEKALB Superspiel, Spencer take home 3.850 world rankings points along with the $4,800CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 28th place overall with 52.229 total points.
