Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) won 6-4 over Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Manitoba Lotteries Womens Curling Classic, held October 19 - 22, 2012 at the Fort Rouge Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Lawton won 7-3 over Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Manitoba Lotteries Womens Curling Classic in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; and won 4-3 over Laura Crocker (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Manitoba Lotteries Womens Curling Classic in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Lawton finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawton defeated Jill Thurston (Winnipeg, MB) 6-5, then won 7-6 against Marie-France Larouche (Levis, PQ) and 5-2 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON). Lawton went on to lose 8-5 against Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB). Lawton responded with a 7-2 win over Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB). Lawton went on to lose 5-4 against Homan. Lawton responded with a 4-3 win over Amber Holland (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Manitoba Lotteries Womens Curling Classic Championship title, Lawton earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $15,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 3rd place overall with 211.335 total points. Lawton ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 78.000 points earned so far this season.
