Stoughton finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stoughton defeated Naomasa Takeda (Kariuzawa, JPN) 9-1, then won 6-0 against Fowler. Stoughton went on to lose 4-2 against Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC). Stoughton responded with a 5-1 win over Brock Virtue (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Stoughton earned 10.110 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Victoria Curling Classic Invitational, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 7.06 after improving upon their best so far this season. Stoughton ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 142.880 points earned so far this season.
