Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) won 5-4 over Scotland's Sandy Reid in the Final of the Edinburgh International, held November 25 - 27, 2011 at the Murrayfield Curling Club in Edinburgh, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Brewster won 4-2 over David Smith (Perth, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2011 Edinburgh International in Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland; and won 8-3 over Switzerland's Pascal Hess in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Edinburgh International in Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland;

Brewster finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster defeated Switzerland's Stefan Hasler 7-6, then won 6-5 against Joel Retornaz (Cortina, ITA) and 9-7 against Graeme Black (Lockerbie, SCO). Brewster won 7-2 against John Hamilton (Edinburgh, SCO), then won 5-4 against Markku Uusipaavalniemi (Helsinki, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Edinburgh International Championship title, Brewster earned 10.600 world rankings points along with the $6,479CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 14th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 132.970 total points. Brewster ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 66.080 points earned so far this season.
