Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) won 6-5 over Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Pomeroy Inn & Suites National, held January 25 - 29, 2012 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Howard won 8-3 over Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) in the semifinals of the 2012 Pomeroy Inn & Suites National in Dawson Creek, British Columbia; and won 8-3 over Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Pomeroy Inn & Suites National in Dawson Creek, British Columbia;
 
Howard finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Howard defeated Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB) 7-4, then won 6-5 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) and 8-2 against Rob Rumfeldt (Guelph, ON). Howard won 9-2 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK), then won 7-4 against Stoughton in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Pomeroy Inn & Suites National Championship title, Howard earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $25,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 29.075 after improving upon their best so far this season. Howard ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 193.345 points earned so far this season.
