Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) lost 5-3 to Jessie Kaufman (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic, held October 15 - 18, 2010 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Muirhead won 7-5 over Faye White (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2010 Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 5-4 over Korea's Ji-Sun Kim in the quarterfinals.
 
Muirhead finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Nicole Blenkin (Calgary, AB) 13-2, then won 7-3 against Vicki Sjolie (Medicine Hat, AB) and 6-2 against British Columbia's Jerri Pat Armstrong-Smith. Muirhead won 9-1 against Lindsay Makichuk (Lloydminster, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic, Muirhead take home 12.400 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 10th place overall with 110.763 total points. Muirhead ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.400 points earned so far this season.
