In their opening game, Miki lost 6-4 to Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB), droppimg another game, 6-2 to Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB) where Miki responded with a 8-2 win over Ken McArdle (New Westminster, BC). Miki won 6-4 against Andrew Bilesky (New Westminster, BC). Miki went on to lose 7-3 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
