Karen Bell (Listowel, ON) lost 4-2 to Julie Hastings (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the KW Fall Classic, held September 24 - 27, 2009 in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Bell won 6-4 over Brit O'Neill (Hamilton, ON) in the semifinals

Bell finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bell defeated Bridget Arnold (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) 7-3, then won 11-6 against Tina Mazerolle (Brantfort, ON) and 6-4 against Hollie Nicol (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Bell went on to lose 6-4 against Kathy Brown (Guelph, ON). Bell responded with a 9-3 win over Dale Curtis (Brampton, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the KW Fall Classic, Bell take home 5.750 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize. For week of the event schedule, Bell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Bell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
