King lost 10-9 to Dave Boehmer (Manitoba) where King responded with a 8-3 win over Jeff Hartung (Saskatchewan). King won 8-3 against Brent Pierce (British Columbia). King went on to lose 9-7 against Vic Peters (Manitoba) in their final qualifying round match.
