I see where Scott Manners and his long time curling companion Ryan Deis have shuffled the team and Scott is now throwing Vice. They got a win over Hartung - never an easy win.

A final will be interesting, I like Laycock in a close game. Was surprised to see Bryden ranked 15th in the field in a blog on this site. He is a seasoned vet and has gone deep in this event many times.

I think this is Mike's year in Man, has flown under the radar all year unlike last year, similar to howard and may be trying to peak at the right time this year.

I think in the blog you refer to, the bloggers bottom 3 picks collectively are currently doing better than his top 3 picks

It's just an opinion. Everyone has one and in the end, someone's opinion will be shown to be more accurate than another person's.

The bottom 3 teams in the blogs rankings are the 7, 13 & 15 ranked teams (field seeds the teams) in the event. So the blog might have been a bit off, but the teams have also been a bit of a surprise.

He has been around. Saw where a 4-Heidt team played in Scottland at their big Slam (Murcure Masters), and was only a game off qualifying (twice! in B and C). With dad and brothers. Josh has the full package, and the legacy. Nice to see him in the AB game. Some good teams. Gedak has strong players too. SK teams have been mixing it up. He could qualify in C - or will we see a Bryden Bitz repeat in the CC Page. Very good event.

..Josh Heidt

He is only 26 years old.. obviously part of that great Heidt curling family

He's seeded #6...lost 1 game ( to Bryden) to get to the AB game..

Wondering if he is ready to beat Laycock yet..
