Koe Can't Win Gold?

Anyone else heard the rumour that the WCF won't give Kevin Koe's team the gold if they win it? I've heard there's a meeting on Thursday in Beijing between all the big wigs at the WCF. Apparently there's a rule in the WCF rule book about teams having to stay together for a certain period of time after they win the gold, and with Koe's team already saying they're breaking up there's the possibility that they'll get kicked out of the playoffs before they start.

Should be an interesting few days at the worlds...

Mike

I certainly can't comment on whether that is a WCF rule or not, but it seems ridiculous if it is. Any team should be able to win a given championship without having to consern themselves with a commitment beyond that championship itself.

Did you read the thread about Joanne Courtney joining Homan? People here were roasting her because she left Team Sweeting in March. It would be exponentially worse if she waited longer. I don't see anything wrong with what Joanne did, as she gave basically as long as she could give.

Agreed that the chat section blows.

I heard a rumour that Team Koe's plan is to break out the Humano brooms in the event they get behind in a do or die game. They'll be junking up the ice with human hair. Or "Hum-chaff" as its sometimes called. Don't let all of those shaved heads fool you. Just lulling the competition....

Humano Hack

By the way Mikey, someone has now invented the "Humano Hack". What this has to do with curling is anybody's guess....

Mikey-that's what makes a good April Fool's joke...just enough credibility to make people wonder...well done!

As for Alaska-I believe that noon on April 1 is the deadline. It's not bad-try it again next year.

That one is going back a few years from when I ran InTheHack (a bit before the Humano broom reference too). I had a few people on that one.

@Mike P - Hi! Great to see you posting. Yes, you had some great April Fool's Day posts.

For this of you doubting Team Koe: that usually proves to be a mistake. I don't see him going out easy & will be damned surprised if he doesn't win. Then, again, what do I know? ))

Going good Mike - thank you!

"that's why they play the game" is why I'm no fan of suit's deciding winners off of the ice!

Take Care!
