LittleRockers

G'day folks!

So my 5yr old has come to me and we wants to curl like I do. Now that the season is starting to wind down I was thinking of taking him out on the ice this weekend. I've been around the rink since I was 11years old and a lot has changed. There were no little rockers when I started plus I was older.

I'm not sure what I need or should use for my little fella. Obviously he's going to need a helmet and his gym sneakers out there. I have more than enough brooms and can cut an old hair broom down to size.

What should I use as a slider? I'm not sure my club will have a small enough slip on slider for him and I don't want to use bag or booties on his shoe. Any suggestions on what I can use for him?

Thanks for the help!!

I have seen the program use step on sliders, it is safer and the sizing does not have to be so accurate

We use step-ons at our club for our youngest curlers too. We bough a couple of smalls and extra-smalls. Just makes the most sense financially. It seems to work well enough for teaching them the basics.
