Fleury was up to the task last night - she is really fitting in well with Einarson's old team - while the all-skips team seem to be a bit un-synchronized, particularly at the 3rd/skip combination. Fleury team members dominated their opponents at all spots. I suspect there might be talk of Val taking over skipping duties from Kerri if things continue to slide - but frankly neither Val nor Kerri have been on fire the last 3 tourneys.

Couldn't help but notice how former skips Briane Meilleur and Shannon Birchard have transformed themselves. Both former skips look ripped, very big, very strong. Think of a front end thats made up of Jill Officer & Joanne Courtney - thats about far those two ladies have transformed themselves.

Homan was a bit off-kilter last nite - how else does one explain how Nina Roth took her to an extra end before Nina ran out of gas - and luck!

As I predicted earlier, Homan should be able to slither by the suddenly tough-as-nails Tracy Fleury team. Just can't see Selena standing up to Emma and Liz Fyfe should be no match for Courtney. Must say that Kristen McCuish might be one of the elite leads in the game - she'll give Lisa all she can handle.

Tracy will have to curl high 80s, low 90s to subdue Homan. Just too much shot-peltin' and rock control from the mean girls. 2nd place money and CTRS points a nice consolation from the newly #1 Manitoba team

LOL. Good for them. They have a ways to go to catch up. They have had A good weekend. The weak link on Einerson’s former team was the first 6 rocks. The same can be said about Fleury’s team.

Under the relentless shot-pelting of one of the 2 best women's curling teams on the planet - Tracy Fleury has begun the process of breaking down.

Fleury had an auto-deuce set up in End 1; ending up with a single

End 2 she was lying 4 and had Raytch in trouble before scuffling her last 2 rocks and giving Raytch an easy back ring double for 3. Raytch made a triple with her first, Fleury blew her guard and then over-threw a draw to give Homan the easy 3-shot.

Shouldn't be close now - Fleury & Co. will be lucky to hang with Homan for 6 ends!

And it was great to see the Muyres team win the Tier 2 for the men. Hope they can keep climbing in the rankings so that they get in more Slams besides the one in January!

I think it might be a good idea to encourage our tier 2 teams to play some of the international competitions (Stockholm Cup, German Masters etc...) to gain some international experience. I've noticed not too many Canadian entries this year.

We welcome our international curlers with open arms to our cashspiels, I am sure they would do the same for Canadian Curlers.

I think money is a big reason most Canadian teams wouldn't consider going. Even if prize money was guaranteed hardly covers expenses.

yeah..i mean, it wasn't that long ago that you would usually see a canadian team or 2 (sometimes up to 4) in an event over seas . now it's pretty rare
