Taking on the role of our club's junior coordinator...

Hey all,

I've taken on our the job of our club's junior program coordinator.

While I've been reading through various ideas and plans (and I have some experience as a coach), I wanted to hear from you what things that you found really worked in keeping kids at the rink, and bringing them back the next season.

Especially younger ages (Little Rocks) but any ideas for juniors of all ages would be welcome.

I have some plans drafted up, but I'm all for borrowing (with full credit of course) ideas that have really worked for you clubs.

Cheers!

Good for you for taking this on.

Whatever you do, please try to reserve a portion of your practice time for the kids to curl w/o any adults involved. Get the adults completely out of the ice shed if possible. Curling is a special sport this way (no coaches, no officials), so take advantage of it and give the kids an opportunity to be kids.
