Strange question

This is an odd question.

I've been away from curling for a few years, and just getting back. Probably 10 years ago or so I remember a bald curler, who looked very similar to Kevin Koe if I remember correctly. He had a very large scar on his head...it looked like he was missing a large chunk of skin from his scalp.

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to whom this might be. I've been unsuccessful in searching for him.

Burtnyk's baldness and scar on his head was the result of a rare and serious form of cancer.

He has a daughter (Kristy) who, as skip, won the Manitoba junior provincial championships this year. It's her last year as a junior, so we may be seeing her at the elite level fairly soon.
