Anna Sidorova
The nieces enjoy going to the curling and especially getting autographs at the end and meeting the curlers. They have met quite a few and are getting quite an autograph collection, They were hoping to meet Anna Sidorova skip of the Russian team at one of the slams this year and get her autograph but they didn't have any luck (she was kind of aloof and didn't come over to the rail, at the end ,not really unfriendly or anything just kind of shy). We are hoping they might get another chance at a slam this upcoming curling season. Have any of you guys ever met her after a curling event and gotten her autograph or anything? Did she seem friendly? Does she come over to the railing after the events at all?

Your description of Sidorova being 'aloof' seems accurate...
The comments made to me by another women's curling team who
have played in the same events as Sidorova is that they found her to not be friendly, and to keep to herself (or with her team), not interacting much with others. And usually pulling the hood of a 'hoodie' over her head, with headphones on - very cut off from everyone else.
Not unfriendly in a mean way... just not interested in interacting.
Whether this is due to ego and arrogance, or to legitimate shyness, only those closest to her know.

To answer your questions: yes, yes, and yes.
I got a picture with her back at the Players' Championship in 2015 after a game. I talked to her briefly after another game and she was friendly...all of this was purely as a fan, I wasn't doing the podcast or anything yet. After almost every game she was signing autographs and taking pictures with fans...even after her disappointing loss in the final.
At the Oakville Tankard last September I did a brief interview for my podcast and she was very accommodating. I talked briefly with her a few other times that weekend and again she was always friendly. (Not a slam, but it's relevant.)
Anyway, based on my experiences I'm sure your nieces will have some better luck this next season.

Sorry to dredge up an old topic but has anyone met Anna this year at a curling event or got an autograph from her this year or anything?

Curious why you are asking this?
