Winnipeg - possibilities to host major curling events?

Winnipeg will have a WHL team next season, and with that will come a new 4,000 seat arena in a couple of years. Also, the arena where the U of M Bisons hockey team plays will have $400,000 in renovations, including an increase in seating capacity from 1,400 to 2,000. Would either of these be suitable for hosting a national Scotties, or a Grand Slam?

Well Brandon only has one arena - Westoba Place, which holds 5000 people for WHL Hockey.

They are hosting a major curling event this year - The Brier.

The Wheat Kings, will have to play elsewhere. (I believe it is always around the start of playoffs, as they have had to move their playoffs before, when other curling events are being held)
