its just a guess. that group of about 7 teams is so strong that you can pick any of them to miss playoffs and have a good reason for it.

really its just a guess.

Early rankings?

1. Koe
2. Simmons
3. Howard/Jacobs (tie)
4. McEwen
5. Gushue
6. Cotter/Laycock (tie)

This one will soon be called "THE SLAMMERS BRIER"

8 vicious monsters - all tremendously proven squads.

Just to think, at least 4 of them won't make the playoffs!

Godzilla vs. King Kong vs. Mr. Kleen vs. The Thing vs. Hulk vs. Spiderman vs. Dr. Who vs. Arrow vs. Deadpool

All the top monsters made it thru - McEwen breaks his maiden. Despite problems with curling at the club & regional fawn level THIS BRIER IS DYN-O-MITE

- Jimmy Walker reporting

The best thing about Mcewen winning MB will be the end of the tirelessly redundant "Mcewen can't win an MB playdown" from you.

It shocks me how clueless you can be, 10000 posts i guess does not equate intelligence. The Malcolm Gladwell theory apparently doesn't work in terms of posts on curling forums. You rate Simmons and Howard higher than Jacobs, Mcewen and Gushue...???

Gushue has been the best men's team thus far. While Mcewen has been arguably the best team over the past few years.

Instead you rate Simmons 2nd, a team that has had basically no success this season. And you rated Howard better than them all. Even tho for Glenn Howard standards he has had a fairly poor season. I don't think a week of beating Mike Harris caliber teams puts you over MONSTERS like Mcewan, Jacob, and Gushue.

I'd look for good gambling opportunities when the top 2 groups compete (they are so close that the team with hammer will be around 58% to win, perhaps adjusting a few points based on Group 1 or 2 and their form at the event)

Group 3 could provide some nice upsets, if money looks good.

If the directional sweeping continues, look for the under in most games.

By far the best list so far. Id maybe include Cotter in the 2nd tier. Just because he has the ability to steal a game or two by himself.
