So sorry to hear Wayne Middaugh has broken his leg in a ski accident and is out of the Ont. playdowns. Tough luck for the Howard team and Wayne and family. Wish him all the best in his recovery.

It won't happen, because you can't really have two players on the team who can't sweep... but it would be quite interesting.

I wonder if Savill would come back in if he's physically able to.

He can pick any player in Canada not already qualified for their province for the brier, willing to pay club dues for Ontario. That's a lot of curlers. Kevin Martin? David Nedohin? Russ's son Steve? Hmmm.

I was under the impression that he officially left that team (because of the cancer treatment). If he's not officially part of any team, then he can play for anyone (his health permitting).
There was talk about Howard possibly taking him on as a fifth player for the Brier...

He's still listed on team Adams for provincials for NS. Not positive but once you've declared which province you will try to qualify for, that's your province for that year. Especially after your team has qualified. Once you buy a prize, it's yours to keep.

Wanye's whole team are lifetime members of St George's after they won worlds so Scott Bailey, Ian Tetley or Graeme McCarrell would make pretty good fill ins if they qualify.

I think the only one eligible is Ian Tetley. Graeme is out with a bad knee and Scott qualified with his own team.

Hope Wayne has as few issues as possible getting back on his feet

Glenn Howard sounds fairly calm about a replacement..for the curling team..
