Canada Cup would not be my first [or 2nd or 3rd] choice of curling events to watch on TV but at least its something. Hope this is an indication of more events to come.

USA Curlers, please watch ESPN3 curling frequently this season so that everybody understands that there is a strong audience (of adults with disposable income) for curling in the USA. Tell your friends, tell your dog.

(same goes for Curling Night in America and every other curling event available to the USA)

Has anyone noticed that last year's ESPN3 commercials during the SOC broadcasts were almost entirely ESPN promos for SportsCenter and upcoming hoops games, etc.. Understandable since this was the first year of the deal. Now fast forward to this year's broadcasts and the commercial breaks are filled with regular worldwide iconic brands.

This can only happen if the ratings last year were way better than expected, and Disney/ESPN can now reach out to advertisers to show the metrics to charge for ads. ESPN shouldn't be surprised since Curling generates such high viewership ratings every Olympics in the US. I cannot imagine that these ratings are all because of Canadian ex-pats living and working in the US.

The bulk of the ratings numbers are because Americans are intrigued by the sport and like to watch.

The USCA has a great opportunity to work with ESPN to produce an event that promotes USA curling. And going forward, in the tradition of our country's innovative spirit, to imagine a game of Curling that is uniquely our own, and attracts even a wider audience for viewing.

Scoff?

The CFL has 3 downs instead of 4. But yet people seem to like it.

The broom controversy has clearly revealed that only one sweeper is necessary.

Mixed Doubles is in the 2018 Olympics.
