The results as of Dec 30 clearly show you ahead of Bottcher for the wild card spot.

The players guide states CTRS as of Dec 31 will be the wild card spots. Unless there's been another update somewhere that nobody knows about, you are team number 2 for the wild card.

Seeding
The seeding in the pools will be determined by the Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS) as of
December 31st prior to the event. Should any participating team(s) not be ranked on the CTRS,
Curling Canada will place all teams with no points together and randomly draw to place them in the
rankings. The Wild Card team will automatically be ranked 3rd in order to create a draw in advance.


Just a heads up. Might be worth a phone call to CC to advise them of their mistake saying it's Bottcher vs Epping.

Perhaps the rankings you posted are just for WCT events and the CTRS have a different way of ranking teams? Just throwing it out there.

The only other thing I can think of is they extended the qualifying date to the end of all tankards, but never updated the players guide, or made any announcement.

Yeah I've scoured the CC website and searched through the brier but nowhere does it give a date for the wild card cut off, other than dec 31 for brier pools including the wild card team
