Running out of time

I know WCF rules say that if you run out of time, you forfeit the game, even if you are in the lead at the time. CCA rules used to specify that the team that still had time left could continue to throw, if they had rocks remaining and were behind. I can't find a rule posting anywhere that says this is still the Canadian rule. Has it changed?

If it changed Canada has not updated it

This all I could find at WCF. There is NO mention at CC about time clock consequences if you run out, at least not in their rules online. Maybe they have a hidden posting.

From WCF...

Each team must complete its part of a game within the time given, or forfeit the game. If a stone reaches the tee line (hog line in wheelchair curling) at the delivery end before time expires, the stone is considered delivered in time.

I'm almost certain the rule used to read that if you ran out of time, you didn't get to throw your rock or rocks but the other team could finish throwing theirs. No mention of forfeit. I think forfeit is a bit harsh. The Finland game where they ran out of time was her last shot with a shot for 2 and the win. I can't remember if they said they had to forfeit or just remove last shot.

That's all I could find as well, after an extensive search online. As far as I recall, the Canadian rule was different, allowing the team with time left to continue.

The WCF rule definitely states forfeit for running out of time, with no mention of who is leading or anything else.

thanks
