If either cc or Team Homan wouldn’t fund their 5th or coach , that’s pretty sad

A team would have to have to be pretty distance from there club to not be able to raise $10 k ... I would have donated $100

Sonnenberg I wasn't aware was involved with this team at all; Scotland had Glenn Howard and other teams had longer term coaches.

Team Homan's season-long "coach" is not a curling coach - he's a mental coach. He did travel with the team. Curling Canada provides a national coach for events such as the Olympics or World Championships and Sonnenberg was that person in this case. Team Homan obviously opted for her to be the person to be involved in timeouts as opposed to using Cheryl Bernard - not sure if that was good or bad or indifferent. Whatever the choice, it was clear that Homan's team wanted nothing to do with Sonnenberg and without having Bernard involved in any of those timeout discussions, it's unclear whether or not she would have had a better impact or not.

I would be VERY interested to know how many non essential Curling Canada red coats and non red coats are there, meaning anyone not on the team or a coach. . I'm betting at least 10. Does anybody know? We'll have to wait for the forensic accounting that comes out 2 years later showing 20-30 thousand in expenses for Korea.
Same goes for every Worlds, Scotties and Brier. Is there any need for that many on a free ride. Maybe that money can be spent on paying for the 5th player and coach and their lodgings at the Brier and Scotties that they have either cut or partially cut. The millions of dollars provided by Sport and Heritage Canada for mandatory inclusion of all provinces and territories is ample to pay for these but cut cut cut nickel and dime the teams that are trying to go to the Brier and Scotties so they can travel the world on the backs of the curlers and clubs across Canada?

Somebody please give an answer to why and how they can get away with this.

My rant for the day sorry.

If they were making $85,000 you would be upset about that !

98% of Curling fans won’t pay $2 to watch in person

It's not how much they make but how much they TAKE. I doubt they make 85, if they did most on this site would want their job. It's more about why so many and why pay so much to have them attend. They serve no purpose other than to say "Look at us in our red coats."
