I find it fascinating that you think a strategy that increases win probability is bad. You probably are the person at the blackjack table who hits on 17 and yet wonders why they lose all their money....

Sound's like a case of offense is the best defense, if you make the shot. Confidence is a good offensive tool, but it can be a big fat liar when defense is the proper call. Granted. Reid makes one of these two shots, 90% of the time. But A final is a final. Adrenaline is adrenaline. Even the pros are subject to it. Mike and his crew lost a slough of these games on the way to finding how to be steady. Reid had too - but found his steady had found another, on this night. Both good teams.

Glad to see McEwen win. I kind of would have liked to see Carruthers win, as that was my prediction and I think he has been curling really well this year. McEwen will do well at the Brier, hope he can make it to the final but it might be pretty tough. It sure fell apart for Carruthers in the 8th, Stoughton said it was a pretty gutsy call and he was right. Really backed him into a corner when he didn't make his first one. I thought it was a really good game.
