Then I think your point is wrong.... lets take a look at say the last 5 years.....

2015 - 3/12 in RR, finished 4th in playoffs
2014 - 3/12 in RR, finished 4th in playoffs
2013 - tied 5/12 in RR
2012 - team Canada (SK) finished 5th in RR, team SK tied 6/12 in RR
2011 - 1/12 in RR, Canadian Champions, won the silver medal at the World Championships

Top half of all in the last 5 years, playoffs in 3/5, championship in one. Go back further, you will find SK is rarely in the bottom of the pack, almost always in the hunt, in the playoffs quite a few times, and Team Canada on more than one occasion. Team SK is actually pretty good. Factor in the amount of SK exports that are playing elsewhere you soon realize SK is actually pretty darn good.

Blah blah blah, where you finish a round robin with three killer teams and the rest so-so teams is nothing to brag about unless you are happy with just being there. How many gold medals? One - Amber Holland.

As I said, Amber Holland is a top curler, which is why she won the STOH with a mediocre team. The rest in SK are middle of the pack curlers.
If you want to talk about the past, sure Rick Folk and Sandra Schmirler were the world’s best. That was then, I’m talking present day.

If Stephanie Lawton checked her ego at the door, dropped the “I’m skip” and stepped down to third for Amber Holland, that would be a top team, as long as the chemistry was there. Chemistry on a team goes a long way.
If not, expect more of the same.

blah blah blah? solid argument. OK then, when you say SK is such a weak province, what provinces do you place ahead? Based on the numbers, ON and MB are no doubters. AB is very strong too. But then who?

Those 3 are so far ahead of everyone else a win by anyone else is a huge upset.

Who cares who finished 3rd or 4th? Blah blah blah….”We did well we finished fourth”. Who cares?
First is the only finish that means anything. Jennifer Jones will be Team Canada for 2 or 3 years, and then one more run at the Olympics. Only Sweeting or Homan have the skills to defeat them. Perhaps Amber Holland if she had a decent team backing her.
Sherry Middaugh is in the same boat as Stephanie Lawton. A good middle of the pack team that is a long shot to win the STOH.
