Playdown Incentive

Curl BC has announced it is rebating the CCA Players Card fee ($30/person) for any team that is a first-time entrant in Men's and Women's Playdowns.

More info available at the Curl BC webpage. Nice to see them offering help to new teams.

can't answer your questions. The announcement was made in the last Curl BC monthly newsletter. I did visit the website but could find no mention of it-which is odd. You would think that would be front and center on the homepage.

I suggest you email Curl BC with your questions-they're certainly valid ones-and then post their response here for all to see.

So, if you have been out of the BC playdowns for over a decade, they will be willing to waive the competitors fee, but have to be out for at LEAST that long. Those that have been out for something along the lines of 4,5 or 6 years, no dice. So it does help try to help build numbers for those who have been out of the competitive scene for a while, which I think is at least a step in the right direction and a good gesture on their part.

Might have to give it a shot!
