If Reid Carruthers falters at the Manitoba playdowns (ie. can't get by McEwen or even Lyburn) I believe Braden Moskowy becomes the hottest free agent in Canada.
The guy is a superb player - great 3rd, possible skip.

The outlier for such players is John Morris out of BC. BC is a veritable honey pit for auto-berths - so if Moskowy joined forces with Morris & Cotter (or replaced Cotter) then that team would be Brier bound for several years.

Don't think Moskowy wants to play front end though. Morris skipping and throwing 2nd stones would be the recommended formula with Cotter shooting final bricks, Moskowy at 3rd.

After that I think rumours will flow about whether Glenny Howard shuts it down in Ontario and whether a much younger Wayne Middaugh & Richey Hart follow suit.

Ladies rumour mill will also swirl.

1. Does Val Sweeting continue w/ Lori Olson-Johns at 3rd
2. Does Chelsea Carey keep her current team intact? Is Joss Peterman ready for a move to 3rd (or even skipping)
3. Jennifer Jones. Media reports have JJ signalling she'd like to continue on with current team - and current members agreeing. We'll see if she sings the same tune if she can't get out of Manitoba
4. I really like Scheidegger in Alberta. Obviously not ready yet but with proper training, coaching and experience they could be monsters in Alberta. Kelcy Rocque or Peterman brought on board at 3rd would go a long way, wouldn't it?

This is total fan-fiction and speculation... I would expect Laine Peters and Cathy O to retire. McTaggart may as well. Might be neat to see if the Scheidegger sisters join with Peterman or Carey...?
