People in the US who have ESPN through a cable or satellite provider or some other subscription can watch the TSN coverage online through their website or the ESPN apps.
I know ESPN reaches other countries too so maybe there’s a way there too?

Can't really complain about the 6 teams that made the playoffs. Arguably the 3 best mens and womens teams in Canada over the last couple of years.

Tend to agree - although Brad Jacobs can always make a case for himself. Bottcher is the future of Canadian mens curling.
I think Glenn Howard's days are over - he operated efficiently for nearly a half decade after his best-before date.
McEwen and Carruthers are just about interchangeable. McEwen more sheer power - Carruthers a bit more brain-power and nuance.
If their games vs. Bottcher were reversed it would be Carruthers in the semi, Mikey on the outside looking in.
WOMENS:
Jones appears a spent and distraught force. Carey has been re-charged by an injection of Vitamin O, Cathy O. Carey can't argue is she loses final to Homan after sailing thru unbeaten - they'd both have equal records for the event. She's got a case if she somehow loses to Jennifer J. - a team with 3 losses under their belts who won all their games vs. sub .500 teams.
Very disappointed for Krista McCarville, the superb thinker and shot-maker from Fort William. Best defensive skip on the planet - just not enough application of risk/reward. Too conservative, some brutal misses by Kendra Lilly down the stretch didn't help matters.
Jones really on the ropes - probably feels like she's being fed to the lions today. She may very well be!
That said, no better team on the planet to retire Jones than Homan.

I'll look forward to the 2 tix KM ---- 5% chance JJ staggers Homan this afternoon - if she does then she has 44% chance of toppling Carey and going to 0-games.
Route for Jones to win today (there is one btw) is to have Rachel forget her nuclear codes, have Jones rack up and early steal (or 2) and then hang on like the dickens for the W.
Jones is no match for Homan in shot-making anymore (they were always about equal) and now Homan appears to be a better field general, too! (better ice-reading, line & weight)
The rest of the mano a mano is about equal - although the majority of posters on her will always tilt to Emma Miskew as Kaitlyn tends to tighten in big game situations!

Based on the results of the round-robin, I don't understand why you would state that McCarville is the best defensive skip in Canada, as well as the planet.
What stats do you have, M.L., to support this assertion?

Not going on stats - mostly observational opinion and most trained observers would agree. Krista knows how to keep games close and win her fair share. Problems occur (like last nite) when she has to go into offensive mode. That's not her forte.
P.S. Amongst current world class teams I'd rank Binia Feltscher as closest to McCarville. All-time best defensive team? That's easy!
Colleen "Coco" Jones. . . .

Final betting line for this afternoon's semi-final is stats. Here's how I predict it will go down -
L Weagle 86% D. McEwen 88%
J. Courtney 80% J. Officer 78%
E. Miskew 83% K. Lawes 76%
R. Homan 87% J Jones 79%
With those percentages, if JJ can slap an early 3 spot on RH or consecutive early steals - there's a road to upset

Every time Jone's loses you have her retiring at age 43, yet Cathy O is 48 and you are so glad she is still playing. Who says Jones is going to retire, besides you - only when she loses I might ad.

"Its Boiling Down To Pretty Much What I Predicted". M.L., 12/8/17
It would appear, ML., that once again you have conveniently forgotten what you actually predicted before the round-robin began.
Quelle Surprise!
Surely you recall that you, the trained observer, predicted Carey would lose 3 games and win 5? That's a long, long way from the 8 wins she actually achieved, isn't it?
And worst of all - your most egregious prediction: That Sweeting would win seven (7)
games! Good grief.

Don't forget that when Jones seems down and out, they seem to dig deep and find their game.As long as she doesn't get down by 3 or more early, she's got a chance.Hoping anyway.Dont want to see her go out curling the way she's been the last few games.

Lol. Good on you for shining another spotlight on the troll who is Manitoba Legend.
No doubt that your questioning of his legendary non-prowess as an expert in all things curling will shortly result in him branding you a troll and then bragging he has the power to get Gerry to banish you from the site (no worries, he doesn't).
Keep up the good work.

What is TSN doing? Homan vs. Jones is in the 9th end, and TSN is conducting a long interview of Jeff Stoughton to discuss mixed doubles curling. Stop it! Do that sort of thing earlier in the week, or earlier in this game perhaps. Doing it over the first 6 shots of End 9 is ridiculous.
Oh, and Homan (or Jones if she pulls off a miracle) please, please, please beat Chelsea. I can't spend a week listening to Chelsea's sweep calls.

yes, they all would be great representatives and the hours and time they have put into it. But, it is a game and they know someone has to lose.

Jones had hammer in six ends and managed to get one deuce, was forced once and gave up two steals of one. Not counting the 10th end Homan had hammer in three ends and got a deuce and was forced once. Complete domination by Team Homan,
Tough to see how Carey can win tomorrow but if they can keep it close early anything is possible. Personally I would love to see Team Homan go to the Olympics.

Yes and the CC could save hundreds of thousands of $ by taking the top 3 teams of the CTRS and playing a double RR.
Most of the same teams would be the cream.

" NOT GOING ON STATS - MOSTLY OBSERVATIONAL OPINION". M.L.
Just what I figured ..... No factual basis whatsoever to backup your 'trained observations'.
But that's hardly a surprise, ML.
I suspected as much a long, long time ago.

Homan retires Jones and Jones doesn't embarrass herself.
Rachel had to curl a whopping 93% to advance.
Jones was OK, her best game of the 4 in a row losses - but 75% (my prediction btw) will never do it vs. mean girls.
Didn't like JJ getting snippy with her front end in the 9th end - if they brush hard its thru the house, but JJ wanted better line and freeze - best of both worlds.
Jones went out with pride. She forced Homan to throw her final stone. However, when she muffed that 'easy' double earlier when she was down 4-2 and could have tied the match - her muff cost her 1 stolen point vs. picking up 1 or 2. That was game over!
Nice career for Jennifer Jones. Will continue on playing cash spiels for her sponsors, attempt to qualify for Manitoba championships (she needs to win a zone now) and get a shot at a record 6th STOH title.
After that, I suspect its retirement.

THAT'S GOTTA HURT.
But despite M.L.'s observational opinions, there's lots of runway left. Lots.
At this same time Colleen Jones was just peaking,e.g. four (4)
Scotties championships, 2001,2002, 2003 and 2004 (which was a record 6th win,) plus one World silver in 2003 and a World gold in 2004.
So, absolutely no reason to throw in the towel and towel rack yet!
