you feel sorry for these guys. first they are forced into playing this bronze medal game. At least last year and the scotties game was on tsn2 but this isnt even on tv.

it kind of takes the meaning out of it. if this is truly a money grab why isnt it on tsn tv?

Both ontario and new foundland kind of cooled off big time at the end of the week

new foundland who started out 7-0 ended 8-5

ontario who started out 10-0 ended 11-3

This bronze game being on ".ca" is proof alone that this game shouldn't take place at all!

I disagree, i think these rocks were awful. I dont know if the rocks or the ice were to blame but there were more picks in this one event..hell in some cases in one game then i can remember seeing in years at major events.

I think it might be the last brier for jeff. i remember multiple interviews he's given where he's said that he cant see himself curling beyond 50. I doubt it is for kevin or glenn because..just this week glenn has said he could keep going for a while

there was a definate gap between PEI, BC and Nova Scotia this week and the rest of the field, not just the top teams. I think the teams that surprised me most in a bad way was BC. I did not think they'd finish 1-10.

My final thoughts:

1. I think Saskatchewan and team viurtue showed everyone this week what they are made of. They had a couple bad losses thay they maybe shoulnt have had but they showed themselves very well. They took down 2 of the top teams and except the game against New Foundland gave every other one all they could handle. I hope they stick together for a while because they truly are going to be great.

2. Was it the rocks or ice? i dont know but the conditions here were not that that great.

3. We got some unexpected results this brier and it made it more enjoyable to watch. The fact that kevin did not make the playoffs did not doomt this brier.

4. The jacobs team finally emerges after a couple years of disappointment. It looked like another hot start then fade away this year but they proved me and maybe doubters wrong Can they go all the way? I definately think they can.

5. The bronze medal game was proven to be even more of a sham this year then everyone already thinks it is.Nobody wants to play it and this year it was not even put on television..what a complete joke

6. Kind if disappointed to see quebec fizzle away like they did. hot start..for a minute i thought it was 2006 but when you look back they lost to all of the other top teams.

7. PEI, BC and Nova Scotia combined for 4 wins. In most of their games except against each other they were blown away. what can we do to get these provinces to be competitive? or perhaps more improtantly what in the hell has happened to curling in BC?

Yes over sweeping by the front end didn't help MB. Oh well it is nice to watch some really good looking buff young men play this game.

I wonder if this signals a changing of the guard in curling. Or nicols brings a gold medal curse to jeff

We are seeing the beginning of the changing of the guard this Brier. Just the beginning, but it does have to come eventually.

True...always pleasant on & off the ice.
Next test is the world monsters for Jacobs. Brewster must be very happy as is Edin. No Stoughton, Martin or Howard to face.

How is it, also that Jeff scored 72% for the 9 ends Team Man. put in when he was scored at 69% after 8 ends and clearly gassed his last two stones. Should have been at 64%, not 72%, although he really didn't know what hit him last night!

Mead moved a yellow rock over so that the red rock would knock it out of play.

To be fair to Jeff, Northern Ontario made every high-risk shot they tried last night.

Northern Ontario did curl well, they deserve credit for that

but lets be honest the jeff that turned up last night was just plain awful. I think he'd agree its probably the worst matche he's played in a very long time...I was stunned how bad he was

I kept expecting him to gte better at least but he kept getting worse.
