Many exciting things to come in Las Vegas as the World Men's Curling Championship begins there at the end of the month!

Kevin Martin will be inducted into the World Curling Hall of Fame ahead of the Tuesday afternoon draw at the Orleans Arena.

Aside from the question...first reaction is what the heck is the curling hall of fame doing in Vegas? This makes even less sense than Rock'n Roll HOF in Cleveland.

As for the question, despite many great positive accomplishments in his career, I will never forget the 2009 decision to throw away his first stone because he "couldn't make things better by playing it". Thus giving Murdoch the opening he needed to play a tap back on his last to be shot stone. Then missing his last attempted double giving up a stolen deuce and the world title in the process.

The dude brought home curling Olympic Gold representing his hosting nation. How difficult and how much pressure? Ask S Korean, Russian, Italian, U.S. and Japanese men's teams.

Simply the best in his day.

Obviously,
Ken Watson is #1 in everyone's mind but the list narrows to just a few elite shooters after Watson

K-Mart is one of them, right up there with Kevin Koe, Don Duguid & Al Hackner at his best.

I know this is rather useless to reply, but I feel compelled. Please don't call Kevin Martin K-Mart, especially since you know he doesn't like this. Sigh. Can you at least pretend to show some respect?
