This is NOT shocking news, folks. Ostlund for all her on and off-ice classiness is just not much of a curling force.
The best curler on Team Sigfriddson (from a percentage aspect) is Margareta herself. She'd throw last rocks - except she is unable to make complex shots.
Once Pyrtz was off the team - they lost hope. Possibly thought Cissi would be a great bandaid.
If Cissi was in Canada - she'd be compared to either Crystal Webster (the great alberta glamour curler) or even Chelsea Carey (without the Carey histrionics). Last rock throwers who don't score particularly well under normal circumstances.
Webster did a brilliant thing by abandoning her skipping hopes in Alberta and boarding a decent team (Fleury) as a rotational 3rd. Now she's probably in the Olympic Trials.
Competition just too much for Cissi and what was left of Siggy's Olympic silver medal team to win Sweden.
If she's smart - she's young enough and athletic enough to step down to lead or second - FOR A COUPLE YEARS ANYWAYS.
