So...yeah, I know it's early...but

The Olympic Trials are set for Friday 11/10 - Saturday 11/18 in Omaha.

Color me very confused...this is a pair of 4 or 5 team events...how in the hell are they making it 9 days long?

A Double Round Robin with 5 teams takes 10 draws on 2 sheets...toss in there a final game and we're talking 22 draws total...and that assumes they gender segregate it and only play on 2 sheets at a time...and that the HPP takes 5 teams of each Gender (which they aren't obligated to do, 4 is an option)

Are they only running 2 draws per day?

Trying to figure it out because if so, that's a *lot* of downtime...and I lived in Omaha for 2 years (Hell, I even curled in the old Aksarben horse barn one season)...there ain't *that* much to do to fill the rest of the days.

Does anyone have a schedule plan?

Are you planning on attending?

It's both men's and women's events and most of the spectators will be locals (90% or more). I'd heard it's 15 draws but no official schedule yet.

Aksarben has changed a lot since you were last here. The old horse track was dismantled and redeveloped into a multi use project (shops, bars, University housing, condos, hotels and business buildings...BS/BS of NE and Pacific Life to name a few).

From what tidbits I've heard there will be learn-to-curl sessions, a public bonspiel and other fan events yet to be announced.

It will be more than some of the early Continental Cups I've attended (Thunder Bay, Chilliwack or Medicine Hat).

Tickets are affordable....week-long passes go for $70 to $100.

I believe this spring or summer, there will be a Facebook page for this event.
