Well played..Sidorova is a very good athlete and that Team is gonna be
headaches for their competitors a few years now....

Nice end to Eve's year

It was a great game, both rinks had their misses but all in all it was nice and close all the way down to the last stone. Heartbreaker for Sidorova, but they played well and gave it a hell of a run.

Sidorova's rink is the real deal...they just keep getting better. Fomina is lethal with her runbacks, and Sidorova can hit big and draw with finesse. Galkina and Saitova on the front end can make great shots as well. Not to mention they handle disappointment and pressure well...several games at the Players they bounced back from bad misses and/or bad ends.

I really feel like people often dismiss them, probably because of the "cheesecake" photoshoots prior to Sochi and their lackluster performance in the games there. Whatever the case is, I'm excited to see what they can do next year. If they can keep it up they're going to be a force to reckon with for sure, especially come the next Olympics.

Glad to see Muirhead win though. They've had such an up-and-down year it's great for them to end it on a high note, especially after their disappointment at Worlds. I think their next season they'll be much more consistent.

I was driving home during the men's final, but it sounds like McEwen had a heartbreaker of a loss as well. Cool that Jacobs got his first Grand Slam win.

You're right. At the Brier that rock would have come to a screeching halt in the slide path.
