Enhanced Grip or Tacky grip replacement for broom question

Question for the curling experts...

I have a performance broom that did have the enhanced grip (or tacky grip/rosin) but this has gone away within just a couple of months and the broom is slippery now and hard to hold onto while delivering,

My question is, is there something I can put on the broom to replace/mimic the enhanced or tacky grip?

Anyone else run into this issue with peformance broom? I see that BalancePlus has this tacky grip, anyone have this one and does it last for a long time?

Thanks!

My BalancePlus broom with the tacky handle is still reasonably tacky after two years of pretty heavy usage.

A good pair of curling gloves (if you aren't using them already) can also go a long way to improving grip.

You could use a Badminton/Tennis racquet grip tape either from Yonex or Spalding available at any Sports store or Wal-Mart, You tube has many videos on how to install them. This tape should last quite a while and are hot too pricey.
Good Luck

lol. You'll be breaking the new broom rule by modifying the broom.

"No modified, custom made or home-made sweeping equipment will be allowed."

Now coming to theatres, "Broomgate Part 2: Revenge of the Shaft"

I have mixed playdowns coming up and this is something that I'm actually slightly concerned about. Are the officials actually going to care that I have added tape for grip on my broom? I really hope not...

I doubt if the officials will be looking at any part of the broom above the pad.
That is, if they even look at all.

A very simple solution to broom shafts that are too slippery is to put some hockey tape where you hold the broom.
