New Team Holland

Does anybody have any information on Amber Holland's new team? Is this a short term team or do they plan on making a run at the 2018 olympics? Are they going to try to meet the requirements to play in the Saskatchewan playdowns or will they just be competing on the tour? It would be difficult seeing as how all four players live in different provinces.

Skip: Amber Holland
Third: Cathy Overton-Clapham
Second: Sasha Carter
Lead: Chelsey Matson

There is a lot of experience and talent on this team. I look forward to seeing how they perform together.

thats a true trans-national team.
skip from saskatchewan, third from manitoba, second from british columbia and lead from alberta

although i believe matson is originally from saskatchewan

this team is very strong on paper but we all know that that might not translate to results.

This is strictly for the Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Spiel. At the end of last season both Amber and Cathy said they would step away from the game this season. Amber said she'd be willing to spare or be a fifth if needed. The event had one spot left to fill and it wasn't filling, organized by Crystal Webster, a favour made by her former teammate Cathy O, and a team was formed to fill it. Who knows, maybe after this year it could become a permanent lineup!

Well, this will be a draw for the gallery to have such a high profile team in its first event. I think C0C and Sasha are personal friends, off the ice, so it will be fun - as curling always is. I will be cheering for a few W's for this illustrious foursome... even if it is a one-off event for them.
