Agreed! A pick up out of left field! Pat must have seen the potential in this team. They can make all the shots!

Very interesting. The photo on the link shows all different colours of shirts - not sure if everyone on the team is "originally" a Manitoban - not that it matters. Is there an "agent" who is pulling these things together? Oh to be a fly on the wall - talking about money, points, potential - I bet these young curlers have mentors they turned to for advice. Talk about "shuffle"

Pat is a great shooter. He brings a ton of experience. At first glance Colton, Kyle and Robbie have hit the jackpot.

But the real question : did they get the right teammate? I doubt it!

this team has gone through 3 skips in 3 seasons so i hope they have. i guess the thing that surprises me is that kyle has never just stepped back up to skip. he was a great skip in juniors on his own, no reason he couldnt go back to that

kyle is a great skip and an all around great guy. he stepped down from skipping in order to have a chance to win junior canadians which proved to be the right move and because he has not skipped in a couple ofyears he probably felt that in order for the team to progress he should remain at second.

Mmmm. Wonder if Simmons considered going to Newfoundland ?? Skip any three Rock shooters --- a ticket to the 2018 Brier.

Pretty sure majority of teams had the thought of going to NFLD. If Jacobs won would be no different
