Continental Cup on the weekend and the only schedule I can find for the coming events

I have to say thank you to all the sponsors who finally gave us a full event, definitely one of the best and keeping you gripped until the very last stone. No matter who took away the win, this tournament will be remembered. It just gets better and better curling all the time. The quote if you snooze you will lose certainly has wakened the snoozers to get their act together or they won't be on the top. These curlers are really taking it seriously if they are really into the love of curling. I think there are a couple of teams and some players who need to stand in front of the mirror and ask, are we really into this thing? It was a long hard couple of weeks, yes, but if your heart is in it, it shows. And if it isn't the sheep from the goats will also be showing. No room for slouching or sleeping on the broom. Every active alert is necessary so you don't miss an opportunity because every miss this weekend was critical pretty well. Mike McEwen's team won the Ed Werenich Golden Wrench Classic and Jenn is back in the Scotties. I hope that fire of those tournaments comes back to the next events with the fire and alertness to keep everyone on their toes.

I promised you that I would get an updated schedule. However, the web man at curling site has not responded nor removed last years events. Maybe I should volunteer. Does anyone know how I can make a cut and pasted monthly event post to add to these blogs? I couldn't get the attachment to add when I tried last week.

So, as was posted earlier by another poster, I repost the event schedule link in the hope that anything not on the previous one will be here. There is curling going now with the Juniors gang which appears to be either TV or streamed. Best I could do for you. Let's go gang. Bring your best and thanks again for those who are making these programs on live TV or streaming happen. For some of us seniors, you are just making our days

Let's brainstorm and find a way to get a curling channel or a way for TSN to be able to televize more.

London is not Vegas but didn't pretend to be. It was still a success with tickets very hard to get. ( a 1500 seat arena). So local clubs should make a few bucks. Western Fair sports centre needed to realize that $17 for lunch ( no dessert and no coffee) doesn't work. People were swift to find the restaurant in the attached casino.
Having worked hard on this minor fun event, the local organizers have earned another Brier (are you listening CC?)
Some of the teams ( in particular Gushue) looked exhausted but still were generous with the crowds. Koe showed up at 815 am Saturday morning to hold the broom for the junior event (class act) as did Hamilton at night. On the other hand Homan was definitely pouting most of the time, Hope she doesn't take Fujisawa that lightly in a few weeks,

Totally agree with you on this one. Another thing that really bothers me is that we see far too much of the Eastern teams/Koe on the focus games. Where are Manitoba, and Sask, BC? They are part of the event and I feel that the games shown should be split down the middle - 1/2 west, - 1/2 east unless they are playing each other. I do admit I love Koe's team and those from the east, but you can only have so much of the same diet before you need something else as well. I want to see more of McEwen, Carruthers, Jones, (although if she is really into it, we do see a lot of Jenn's team) Bottcher, and some of the newer MB younger female teams, play. My goodness, Manitoba has pretty well as much as the east for teams trying to make their place in the curling world. They need the crowd support too to boost their playing energy in their games or it is like they are fighting all uphill as well as playing the opponent. Reid C does a lot away from the ice as well as Kaitlyn L with their teaching programs for the younger people interested in learning. I think if they were focused more, there would be even more challenging games because they need to KNOW they are important to us fans just as much as the head knocks are. Someone please take Michelle Englot aside and encourage her. She has a huge role to fill and I sense some fear there. She is not a bad curler, but let's spark her fire and get her confidence going really strong. Much as I love the other teams, and believe me, I cheer for them all, I want to see some of MY province's teams a lot more often.
