What Would the Gurus Do?

After watching the N.O/NT game this afternoon and now the Lawton/Homan game, I'm constantly shaking my head at the questionable skip calls end after end. Example, Lawton has a chance to draw a rock into a pile and hold Homan to one or even steal one, but instead she calls a long raise from her vice and clears the guards, setting up a potential 3 for Canada, which turned into a 2 after the 3rd counter ticked. Why is she removing guards without hammer?

Similar to the home version of Jeopardy, I would love to hear what the gurus of curling, Martin, Howard, Stoughton, Jacobs et-al are yelling at their TV sets for each of the calls before the skips at the Scotties put their brooms down. My own calculations say that ~ 50% of the calls in this week's game are wrong, not the best choice or even the worst option of several.

Some of the calls that Lawton made last night were ridiculously bad. Russ was mostly biting his tongue, but did criticize her a couple of times.

What the hell is Rick Folk doing? If you're going to be a coach then be a coach and tell them when their strategy is too defensive.
