I think it's better to be up 2 without than tied with hammer. I thought Laycock had an easier shot to count than shown. With regard to sellout announcers said road conditions were horrible. I can see people from a distance away choosing to stay home when event on tv and challenging conditions. Not sure if that was the case but possible. In any event a good turnout and probably way in excess of probable attendance in Toronto for the players' at the end of the year when the custodian may be lonely.

I also agree, up 2 is better. But depending on how you adjust for 5 rock, your chance of making the shot called (hit and roll for 1 for Steve or blank for Rachel) and what you asses your teams ability to make the double tick in the last end, it could be close and even if they are wrong, it's not by very much.

You might argue Steve's call was stranger because he could not blank and had two options to take 1 point, and chose what appeared to be the more difficult shot.
