This isn't easy to find.

http://www.worldcurl.com/rankings.p...k=calculations#

“Starting in 2019/20 players will each carry forward 20% of their previous YTD points along with a 20% team component that the team will maintain is (sic) they maintain 3 of 4 or 4 of 4 players from the previous season.”

Yeah, I'd like to see Fry take another crack at skipping too, but I'd take it a step further. Unload Camm and bring back Savill !

Regarding Fry:
As good a player as he is, he always seems to wear out his welcome with teams after 2 or 3 years.
Perhaps Ryan could join up with Adam Casey and John Morris to form a nomadic, no-fixed-address team. They could be given an honorary spot in the Brier, in place of the Wild Card spot!

Regarding Savill/Epping...
It's unfortunate that some people think they are positioned to comment accurately on such situations. The undeniable fact is that unless one knows the people directly involved personally, one has no clue as to all the intricacies and dynamics of the relationships within the team (or within any other team one does not know personally). What we get through the media is merely surface fluff - almost always over-sensationalized. And 'social media' never tells the complete story, which would take several pages to tell accurately. To believe everything one reads - and to expound upon that by assuming the motives of people one doesn't know - is quite obviously purely ridiculous.

What started the Savill/Epping frenzy was Savill himself posting on Social Media. No mention of talking with Epping only that he heard the news from Laing (where Laing's name was misspelled). He knows how viral a post can get.

oh ****. i hope they dont screw around with the teams. i thought they'd have learned their lesson. apparently not.

i can definitely see them combining the paterson/mouat teams trying to form a super team for the olympics.

i could see them trying something like this:

team 1:

skip: patersonm
third : hardie
second : lammie
lead : goodfellow

team 2 :

skip : mouat
third: waddell
second: menzies
lead: mcmillan

other scenario i could see them trying would be this:

skip - mouat
third - paterson
second - lammie
lead - goodfellow

that would probably be the strongest combination of the 2 teams. not saying i approve and i hope it doesnt come to pass

they have 2 really good teams right now i'd hope they dont screw around with them. of course there's a 3rd mens team . glen muirhead that could factor in but i say leave them alone

however knowing them as the olympics draw near they'll take the 4 they think make the best team and groom them for the 2022 olympics so we might not see them mess around with them next season but we might in the 2020/2021 season.

i just hope they'd avoid this:

skip - mouat
third - smith
second - paterson
lead - ..mcmillan?

take their top 3 skips and force them together. but, again i could see them trying it just because

women i dont know they'd change to much except maybe insert sophie jackson at third on eve muirhead's team

anyone know what the hell happened to hannah flemming by the way?

Scotland, like Canada, has always had a problem with people at the top sticking their noses in where they don't belong.
I remember past worlds where the Scots would come with a 5 man team and start subbing players in and out as soon as a rough patch was hit. The players didn't seem to have much say in the matter.

Canada tried this method in the trials before the 88 Calgary Olympics, pulling players who had never played together in an attempt to make super teams. If memory serves the winners were Linda Moore and Ed Lukowich who were allowed to come in with their own teams intact, no superstar imports.

You'd think they would have learned a lesson but no, last Olympics they told Homan's rink that their fifth wasn't eligible because she had no international experience. Forget comfort level, forget team chemistry, out you go because Curl Canada made a rule.

CC also continues to foist their coaches onto teams at the worlds so now you have two in the room, your own and someone parachuted in.
