Ashley homestore curling

Anybody know why the Epping game was over after four ends with a 2-1 score?

I was wondering that, too! Surely Brock and his team could have generated something more with the ends they had left.

Unless Epping got a bunch in the 5th and rocks kicked before they were counted?

Yes this is what I think probably happened and you see this on line scores sometimes. The team that is down are trying hard to steal and not playing take outs especially early in the end. So after the team that is down throws their last rock and are not counting and the other team is laying a bundle; you just shake hands. Since the team ahead does not throw their last rock the end is not complete so no score is counted with just an x put in the box. It may not work this way for national competitions and worlds but for spiels it can be done this way I believe.

Except that Virtue had hammer, so he would have thrown the last rock.

Seems like curlers are marking up the scores. Probably Epping stole a big end and when Virtue shook hands didn't bother marking it up.

Have you ever seen a score line showing 7 blank ends , taking 1 in the 8th to win? Gunnlagson.

I was starting to think there was going be entirely 8 blank ends.

Just how cold is it in this CC? I've noticed Zou/Koe and maybe someone else wearing coats ontop of their jackets. I know Skips don't have as much of a physical part in the game.

Anybody in on why McEwen is skipping the game rather than Carruthers and I also notice Carruthers does not go to the skips end as the thirds always do?
