They are. Couldn't access the curling.ca positional stats - takes forever to load. Maybe someone could cut & paste the various position percentages???

Obviously Homan was a monster shooter all week.

The four best skips arrived in the playoffs. Same with the 4 best 3rds and four top seconds.

Not so sure how De Jaeger would fare if she had to play with a top team but credit to her for her fine lead percentages.

I do think the 4 best leads also made the playoffs - if you take De Jager's anomaly out of it.

As far as the final 3 are concerned; while Englot is clearly Homan's kryptonite - I also think McCarville might be Englots.

McCarville vs. Carey 3-4 is a repeat of last year's gold medal game. Even though Manitoba & Ontario finished 1-2 I still think Lilly is right up there as one of the top 3rds; she's clear-minded and cool - combine that with an unflappable skip and a strong front and you've got a recipe for creating chaos. Her first victim should be Chelsea Carey - but not without a fight - just think Kendra & Krista are a bit stronger than Amy & Chelsea! Front ends about equal - maybe a tiny edge to Canada due to Laine Peters experience.

If McCarville slides by Carey the semi-final should be every bit as good as last night's 1-2; Krista will simply not go down without a fight to her provincial counterpart. But like we saw vs. Englot, even a wounded Homan is a massive danger to any team.

Frankly, I think Englot will have more problems with McCarville in the gold medal game than anyone else, including Raytch.

In addition to being one of the best curling games we've seen on TV in years I thought Vic, Russ & Cheryl brought their A-games to the broadcast and added layered much-needed insight to the video presentation!

JOB WELL DONE!

Also note that Chatty Cathy and Mudryk were pulled from this morning's final draw - and the regular crew saw it thru.

Don't know if it was planned that way or not - perhaps they were saving Cathy & Brian for a possible tie-breaker?

I thought Rachel's choice to play the double off of third shot with her final stone in the first was odd. Why not hit the open second shot stone? It would have made Englot take on a not so simple double for two or just hit first shot for one. Thoughts?

^ I agree.

Sadly, there are some people in life who never grow out of the juvenile insecurity of needing to bash others in order to feel 'superior' themselves.
These types attract (and deserve) each other.

Their prolonged (perpetual?) adolescence is such that, almost humorously, they actually believe they are being 'cool'.
Such persons don't possess the maturity to realize that, in bashing others, and in 'piling on', they are simply revealing themselves as very flawed individuals.
