How do you have your third finish 2nd team all-star and only win one game? Must have been poor strategy or poor execution on the skipper's part (or both!).

After the opening 4 ender last night, the commenters noted that it totally took the partisan Ontario crowd out of the mix. Sounds similar tonight and it appears it extends to this thread as well. No curling commentary.

rachel likes hitting and you can tell - she wanted a different shot. oh well. if you make the draws she will die of hit fever. But mb mustn't let up.

Yes. But the key is, a skip must have no preference. The best shot is the one they like. Rachel can draw, except when she prefers the hit. One side of brain says, I'll play it this way, the heart says, wish I was hitting. Mind games.

Why would Michelle not have tried for double on both shots. Seems to me, no downside risk and only upside potential.

Noticed that the BC lead was 1st team all-star, and BC third was 2nd team all-star. That's pretty remarkable for a 1-10 team.

Nice run for Manitoba so far but it is a pretty tall order to beat Homan 3 straight in 4 days.

That was not only an awesome end but an awesome game. However, if HOMAN gets through to Sunday I think her odds improve. Tough to win three in a row. How can a 1-10 team have two all stars and the top team not have any? Who picks them?

I always thought they were picked by percentages.

Great showing for a first year team, hope that day off doesn't hurt them. Where did that Kate Cameron come from - awesome!
Nice team, quietly going about their business.

I thought Rachel's choice to play the double off of third shot with her final stone in the first was odd. Why not hit the open second shot stone? It would have made Englot take on a not so simple double for two or just hit first shot for one. Thoughts?

^ I agree.
Sadly, there are some people in life who never grow out of the juvenile insecurity of needing to bash others in order to feel 'superior' themselves.
These types attract (and deserve) each other.
Their prolonged (perpetual?) adolescence is such that, almost humorously, they actually believe they are being 'cool'.
Such persons don't possess the maturity to realize that, in bashing others, and in 'piling on', they are simply revealing themselves as very flawed individuals.
